Development of electronic parking system
Šmíd, Josef ; Strecker, Zbyněk (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the development of the electronic parking system, which is intended to navigate the drivers to the nearest vacancies, using the Arduino platform. The introductory part deals with an overview of the current state of knowledge. The research section provides an overview of the Arduino base plates and other modules and sensors selected for conceptual design solutions. The construction part deals with the design of the casing according to the selected components and the subsequent realization of the whole device, including the program, for testing under real conditions. The test results are finally evaluated and summarized in the final discussion.
Automatic people counting
Szalbot, Michal ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
The main subject of this bachelor thesis is utilization of optical sensors for people vehicle counting. This types of sensors were selected - optical barrier, passive infrared sensor, active reflective sensor and ultrasonic sensor for people vehicle counting. The tasks and used sensors are described in introduction. The selected applications available on the market and description of their function are described there too. The solution describes individual type of sensors, their function, used involvement in tests and tests results. The conclusion contains summary of knowledge of sensors, their possibilities and other possible solutions.
Ultrasonic distance measurement
Klich, Michal ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the design and manufacture of a controlling program of equipment for distance measurement using ultrasonic sensors. It focuses on a detailed description of the whole design from the basic properties of the components to the creation of schemes and PCB design. It subsequently describes in detail the development of controlling software of the equipment. The work briefly describes the most important parts of the code. It summarizes all theoretical and practical knowledge gained during the creation of the whole design, it explains the principles of the functions and works of individual parts and it suggests the best possible options of connection of the whole equipment. It also suggests the best possible variants of the entire circuit. The bachelor thesis also describes the microprocesor AVR ATmega8 from the Atmel Corporaton, which controls the entire device, as well as EEPROM memory chip 24LCXXX, SRF05 ultrasonic sensor and communication with the PC via USB using a microchip FT230XS-R.
Development of a system for measuring the motor skills of small animals
Ryšavá, Michaela ; Götthans, Jakub (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The main objective of the project was to explore methods of motion measuring using sensors, select a suitable method, create a system and a application for measuring the speed of small animals. It is a dedicated project to measure a research in coperation with Masaryk university, which aimed to explore the the mobility of lizards living in the Czech Republic. In particular, commercial systems provide a solution by analyzing camera data. For the desired speed measurement of various shapes, the implementation of image processing is cost-ineffective and more complicated than using electronic sensor solutions. The most appropriate solution an infrared optical gate appears, due to constant results accuracy when changing the colors and sizes of measured individuals, small size and relatively easy implementation. Furthermore, a straight track and an electronic system using the selected optical gate concept has been constructed and implemented software for control and evaluating the entire measurement.
Well Water Level Measurement
Samek, Jakub ; Košař, Vlastimil (referee) ; Korček, Pavol (advisor)
This thesis deals with the well water level measurement. The main aim was to design and construct a device using proper platform and sensorics for measuring which is used for measuring the water level in the well. This device uses batteries. The expected battery life is several months. The device sends collected data via network to the server. These data are visualised in graphic interface using a graph. The system controls the water level in the well and battery level of the device. When the limit values are exceeded, the user is notified by e-mail. Based on this information, the user can decide how to be economical with the water.
Linear drive control based on object motion detection
Novotná, Eliška ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with motion detection and linear drive control. The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical part, where the part of ultrasonic sensors and linear actuators, including the types of individual linear actuators, is mainly described and explained. The practical part presents the solution itself, both in terms of hardware and software. This part therefore contains the system design together with the flowcharts and the simplified 3D design of the structure. At the end of the work is given a sample of the final structure.
Ultrasonic anemometer
Dvořáček, Michael ; Kováč, Michal (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
Work describe principles and problems of the realization ultrasonic anemometer. It's described methods of computation speed wind and its correction. In favor of realization are used ultrasonic transducers and microcontroller ARM Cortex-M3. The work treats PWM signal generating, its analog filtration, amplification and transmitting. On receiving part there are low voltage amplifier and comparator. Developing code is described by flowcharts.
Trilobot Upgrade
Polášek, Patrik ; Hrubý, Martin (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main aim of this work is to create a robot moving on wheels, create communication among all the sensors and microcomputers with the help of the Robot Operating System (ROS). Sensors are mounted on a plastic handle that is printed on 3D printer. The Arduino microcomputer manages low-level signals for reading sensor data and signals to control the engine, the another one and more powerful ODROID-XU4 microcomputer runs the core of ROS and a graphical application that allows controlling robot on the touchscreen.
Protecting the perimeter in extreme conditions, using sensot networks
David, Jakub ; Botta, Miroslav (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the theoretical analysis of wireless sensor networks, a description of selected types of sensors, listing their features and principle of operation for intrusion detection perimeter. Then there is described design and implementation of a wireless sensor node for intrusion detection perimeter usable in wireless sensor networks.
Arduino programming with Matlab/Simulink
Bartoněk, Jan ; Hůlka, Tomáš (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
The content of this bachelor´s thesis is a research of possibility of programming an Arduino microcontroller using Matlab/Simulink program. Part of the thesis is also a brief research of the Arduino platform. Furthermore, two practical tasks were created and described in this work, which can be used for educational purposes. The first being an application demonstrating the use of the DHT22 sensor, created using App Designer, which is part a of Matlab. The second task deals with the regulation of the position of a levitating body in the tube, using Simulink. Demonstration videos were created for both tasks and are part of this work.
